Hey, Pix! O/ I'm here for the Magical Menagerie reviewing event!

First of all, I love how concerned Fred is with everything, from how clean his room is to how quiet George is. He's such a skeptical little six-year-old and that's completely adorable. Plus, the premise of the whole situation is adorable, with the twins only having received ONE giant lollipop for their birthday and how it sat between them like some force of destructive (and delicious) nature. You can feel the sheer amount of drama building in the room as the two quietly stare at it, and I can't help but find it particularly hilarious and so perfect for two six-year-olds.

I also found the way you wrote Fred's frivolity was endearing because it was so true to how a child acts. He doesn't want to sit still and play the quiet game, even if it is for such a delicious prize -- he wants to go outside in the beautiful weather and play with all the new toys that he and George got for their birthdays! Alternatively, I also found George's extreme concentration and level of seriousness to be adorably hilarious, too! What's more, is I enjoyed a sneak peek at one way they differ in personality, even as twins.

I think my favorite bit would have to be the way the Fred resolves not to get angry about losing the lollipop to George, especially given that they had lots of sweets to last them a while anyway. He jus really wanted to go play with his brother, which is so sweet.

This was lovely!

Quodpot - Match 3

Yay, there are still more of these left! I’m loving how you managed to focus on so many different characters (and eras) with each of these stories.

Oh, no - two twins, one lollipop! Such drama!

I thought that mentioning the Chudley Cannons gift from Bill was super cute. What a good big brother.

This feels like it should be a super standard thing, but I really appreciate how you portrayed Fred and George as separate individuals. A lot of people fall into the trap of blurring them together, especially in short stories and when they are children, so I think you definitely did a good job of their portrayal here.

AWW the quiet game XD That was really cleverly written. It wasn’t obvious that that was what was happening, but looking back it makes sense. It makes me giggle that these bodacious twins chse to play the quiet game XD They probably get told to do that a lot.

Aww, and it’s really cute how quickly Fred gets over his loss. It’s kind of funny given how intently he had focused on the lollipop before, but that just shows what a sweet boy he is and what a positive relationship he has with his brother.

Super cute!

Sam.

Hi Sam!

It's another cute Fred and George story!  I have twins, so it's pretty standard to treat them differently.  They are definitely separate people in real life.  I wouldn't imagine Fred and George to be anything but their own people, even though they do enjoy fooling others when it's convenient.  Thanks so much for another lovely review!
