I. LOVE. THIS.

The humor is perfectly balanced in this story. It feels simultaneously so ridiculous and so relatable. I think you did a really good job with Albus’ characterization. He feels very teenager - kind of intolerable in his attitude but also relatable.

I think it makes sense that Albus might be sick of all the Quidditch talk in his family, and it makes me giggle how extreme he has taken his dislike of Quidditch. I also appreciate that when talking about all of the ties of people in his family to Quidditch, you primarily define Harry as a fine. Yeah, he played in school for a couple years, but compared to other people in the family and the other things that Harry is known for, being a Quidditch player isn’t something that defines him as much.

Harry and Ginny assuming Albus loved the Foo Fighters, and the ensuing gifts and very awkward conversation is hilarious. What a way to come out XD

Though it also says something that Albus didn’t feel like I had to keep up the ruse to keep his sexuality hidden, and Harry and Ginny are generally cool about it.

IT’S A CRIME THAT THIS STORY HAS ONLY ONE REVIEW, EVERYONE DESERVES THE JOY OF HAVING READ THIS STORY

Hi Emma! I’m here for Quadpot (Match 3) and BvB (gotta represent Team Blue, of course).

I cannot express how much I love this one-shot. Albus is just the most perfectly extra person ever—but I really shouldn’t have expected anything else from Mr. “Hey will you pretend to be my boyfriend so I can show up my siblings to my parents”? I just loved the entire detailing of his adamant dislike of Quidditch, for no reason other than to be contrary (and perhaps because he himself is fairly shite at it, which is also very IC).

I also loved the detailing of the Floo Fighters saga (still the best name ever, by the way), and how enthusiastic Harry and Ginny were that he was “interested in something other than being a grump.” I think you’ve characterized them really well, as like the sort of parents who try very hard to be the Cool Parents and Ginny succeeds (as evidenced by GINNY WEASLEY CAUGHT KISSING GAL PAL, which is literally the best headline)  but Harry, well, he sorta fails. (Other than his dalliances in DADA research, that’s quite cool hehe).

My favorite part of this fic: “What kind of person had a school nemesis? And why was that person his dad?” Proof that Albus’s extra-ness was 100% inherited from Harry “No need to call me sir, Professor” Potter.

I’m still dying of laughter over here. Completely brilliant, I absolutely loved it. <3
