Chloe is content with her quiet life amid her Muggle parents' fear of magic. But after suffering a brutal attack at the hands of would-be Death Eaters, Chloe is thrust into a world both exhilarating and terrifying. Marlene McKinnon and her friends, the Marauders, are rule-breakers. They leave laughter and chaos in their wake. They are everything that Chloe thought she never wanted, least of all Sirius Black: cavalier, reckless and so strangely alluring. As the years pass, Chloe's infatuation with Marlene and Sirius forces her to question where her loyalties lie in the shadow of a rising war.

Fifth year’s barely over, but the future is all everyone wants to talk about. Regulus is determined to outshine his brother. Walden’s planning a marriage that’ll never happen. Tibs wants to be a politician. Becoming the next Bellatrix Lestrange is my goal, and the only one that seems achievable. Yet with the Death Eaters falling like flies, the future looks bleaker than ever.
In five years’ time, we’re all going to be dead.
We were meant to be friends, Remus. You know it, as well as I do.

Some people need only a single second chance at life to realign themselves with who they wish to be. Others require many more second chances.
This is a tale of the latter.

Then the King flew into a passion, and ordered a dark tower to be built, into which no ray of sunlight or moonlight should enter. When it was finished, he said, “Therein shalt thou be imprisoned for seven years, and then I will come and see if thy perverse spirit is broken.” Meat and drink for the seven years were carried into the tower, and then she and her waiting-woman were led into it and walled up, and thus cut off from the sky and from the earth...

He didn't want to believe it, George tried to deny the truth that was right in front of him. At a certain point though, he couldn't continue to deny it. The missing presence by his side, the second half of a joke that was left unsaid, left a gaping hole in his heart. It was the missing hand on the famous Weasley clock though, that was final piece of evidence. After seeing that, George couldn’t deny it anymore; Fred was gone, and he wasn’t coming back.
"If she wants to be alone, Lily won’t have gone to any of their usual haunts, or anywhere busy, which quickly rules out all of their friends’ homes, his parents’ old house, or even Hogsmeade. James knows that if Lily doesn’t want to be found, it will almost certainly be impossible for him to detect her. He can only hope others are similarly unsuccessful. "
James and Lily have just been told that their little boy may be destined to end the war his parents have been fighting in for years. Neither of them takes it well.
