  14. Where Does Canon Stop?

For me, the books are the only things that are canon. Everything else fits under an umbrella of "interesting, to be used if it fits in the story and ignored if not". The background information on Pottermore, for example, is interesting to know, but if I have a different headcanon my headcanon would be going into my fic and not the Pottermore information. I don't consider Cursed Child canon because of all the complaints that I've heard about it (and because everyone here could write a better Next Gen fic - and many have).
