I've been painfully unproductive for the past few weeks so maybe something very publicly holding me to getting things done (aka this post) will be a nudge in the right direction. :sos:

Here goes:

  • Finish the data set for my thesis and write the do-file coding (aka my least favorite part about research papers woo)
  • Schedule meeting with my thesis advisor (requires that I actually do the previous task)
  • Submit the 3 job applications I've been working on
  • Buy cap and gown (literally have been putting this off for ages, I'm in denial about graduating)
  • Sell the pile of clothes in my downstairs closet
  • Write blog posts for this week and the start of next
  • Readings for my organizational leadership class

Here with my HPFT to-do list (which I have no idea how to prioritize and that's making me slightly anxious... :/)

  • WRITE!!! (Because NaNo, and because I haven't really written anything in a while...)
  • Reply to reviews, WJ questions, NaNo Nest questions
  • Start working on my articles for the Hufflepuff Newsletter
  • Finish leaving prize reviews for my Peter challenge
  • Make a few posts around the forums (there are a few topics I would really like to contribute to)

  • Post in other people's nests, starting from my lovely penpal

I'm open to suggestions, where should I start from? :couch:

Chiara! :loveshower:You can do this, I'll be cheering you on!

It's NaNo month, so focus on your writing! Responding to reviews and finishing prize reviews can always wait till the next month. And maybe every 1000 words you write, work on the newsletter pieces or Nano Nests. ^_^

  • Thanks 1

Ahahah! Too late, I spent the night replying to questions... :P (I was feeling too guilty, your questions had been lying unanswered for almost two months, I had to remediate... :$) But I will totally focus on my writing and on the Newsletter from now on. Btw, I love you!

Unwritten Curse

I'm back. I was semi-productive today, but I can never seem to accomplish everything I want to with an 8-month-old demanding my attention. That's okay, though. She's totally worth it.

- Finish AND put away ALL the laundry (the most gargantuan task of them all) I got about 75% done, so I'm crossing this off. I won't need to do laundry for a while anyway.
- Write 2K on my challenge entry
- Do one assignment for teaching class I did THREE assignments. :P
- Clean kitchen

The other two will be moved to tomorrow's To Do list.

  • Finish the data set for my thesis and write the do-file coding (aka my least favorite part about research papers woo) [did half of it??]
  • Schedule meeting with my thesis advisor (requires that I actually do the previous task)

  • Buy cap and gown (literally have been putting this off for ages, I'm in denial about graduating)

  • Run all my data/coding through the statistics program I use so that I can actually write the results portion of my thesis
  • Buy grad cap decorating supplies
  • Sell the pile of clothes in my downstairs closet
  • Keep up with my daily NaNo word count goal (~850 per day)
  • Another 3-ish job applications? I'm just sending them into the abyss at this point
