There are Jiangshi corpses on the streets, a statue dancing through the parks, and rumours of Yin Iron and corruption slipping in with the mists from the sea.

These things are normal.

There is a toddler found alone on a boat and burning, a strange man with a red ribbon sits in Lan Wangji's seat, and the Little Apple Twist mocktail now has vodka.

These things are not.

Or, Wei Wuxian returns to Hong Kong and really, everything spirals out of control from there.

The war ended two years ago, the curse is only a distant memory, and Remus and Chiara are going to get married soon.

Wedding preparation is stressful, though, and the young couple decide to take a break and spend a couple of weeks in the city of Chiara's ancestors.

Things don't quite go according to plans.

Little note: I've rearranged the chapters chronologically, because my mind likes that :P (apologies if you were reading and the change of order caused any confusion... :P) All chapters are standalones, though, and they don't need to be read in any particular order ;)

"Someone learns something unexpected about his ancestry and acts upon it."  That was the challenge for a 700-word HP drabble that grew from a drabble to an 8,000-word story to a 120-page screenplay, evolving along the way from Draco-Astoria-Scorpius Malfoy to Denis-Aurelie-Silvestre Paridelle, but the HP clues are still there, discernible to a knowledgeable eye.  Can you spot them?

The original drabble ended at Plot Point One, where Scorpius/Silvestre says, "If you don't open them, then when I'm an old man and you're dead, I will do it.  So we might as well look at them now.  Don't you want to know?"
