Hey, Beth! My tussle with a Niffler was successful! I have managed to retrieve this gift for you, on behalf of Kaitlin/TreacleTart!
Aww! This was just lovely! I was expecting a tale of romantic love, but this was much better! You’ve painted Hermione’s love for Rose so beautifully here. I love the repetition throughout. It really added a lot of emotive power to the story. I think I might’ve teared up a little reading about Rose leaving for Hogwarts for the first time, and Hermione feeling equal parts proud, scared, and sad to see her baby growing up.
My favourite part was when you described Hermione’s experience of being a new mother. It feels like the narrative is always that becoming a mother is natural, and that you learn everything straight away, and know exactly who your baby is and what it wants and needs, when that is just so far from the truth. I loved how Hermione’s learning experience of being a mother was still written in this really gentle and joyous way, despite the many bumps in the road she probably had.
I loved this story. Such a heart-warming read!

So. Cute. Like oh me gee I am flailing on the floor not sure what to do with myself I have so many feelings.
You managed to convey so much in so few words and that's just really awesome. You never mention a name but I was imagining Hermione and Rose here. I'm not sure if it's in the story description or not, so this might not even be really awesome detective skills at work, but just so you know, I didn't read that, so I'm guessing on your writing alone (which is amazing, if I haven't made that abundantly clear yet).
Lovely work! Really made my Friday night :)
