Ahhh this is so good! I really like Sansa as a character - especially in these later seasons as she's become such a strategic and competent woman who rules the North and stuff. And this story was such a wonderful way of illustrating how she got there, from the beginning when she was young naive and happy in an easy, comfortable life, through all she's had to endure and witness her family dying - it's like each of those paragraphs narrate another part of her old self dying as well until she's no longer the sweet summer child. I love that what keeps her going is the thought that Jon is still alive and she can see him again, and that she is still not alone - the way she holds on to that hope in order to drive her to do the things she knows need to be done and it inspires her. This is a great story, Kaitlin!
I was excited when I was browsing for a Game of Thrones fanfiction on here when I found this and saw that it it focuses on Sansa who is one my favorite Game of Thrones character so yay! Okay, aside from that, I really love the way you painted Sansa in each of the paragraphs from how she started out of this girl who dreamt of being the Lady of Winterfell to becoming this strong person who just came back from King's Land where she endured so much from being in pain and grief yet also becoming stronger than ever as well.
It was great reading her thoughts about her family especially Jon and what she thought of him. I remember liking Sansa's story in the show as she had to stay confined within the enemy's walls for awhile but remained strong and it was great that you were also to capture that too in a few paragraphs.
This story was great to read since it was very focused on Sansa Stark and who she was or is as a character which I enjoyed immensely. Thank you for writing this!
It's so awesome to see you write something that isn't Harry Potter, and I really enjoyed this, and not just because Sansa is one of the few Game of Thrones characters I actually recognize :P
She's one of my favourites because her story and character is so incredible. She's been through hell and back and my heart breaks for her but I love how strong she is, and how brave, and how angry. I think your story captures all of that - that even throughout her hardship, she's ready to fight for what's hers, and she acknowledges how much she's changed.
Great work, and good luck in the challenge!
