Story:Darkness Chapter: Chapter 1

Hey Gina!

I'm here to drop off a review for the Magical Menagerie and the Gryffindor Gold vs Red review battle for January 2019. This story caught my eye as I was skimming over your page, so I thought I'd pop in and give it a read.

Holy hell. This is brutal. I mean, I figured it would be based on the summary, but still. Brutal. It's so tough to see her struggling through infertility and abuse like this. She's so isolated. She doesn't really have any support structure to help her. She's just suffering on her own. It's so sad.

Ugh. Her husband is an awful person. The way he tortures and torments her is so unfair. But this is the classic cycle of abuse. Start out with a love bomb, slowly slip into abusive, gaslight the person, apologize, do something nice, repeat.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that he dies at the end. I know that's a horrible thing to say, but I feel like she really deserves the chance to raise her child without his shadow hovering over her. I hope that maybe this will inspire her to take a new direction in her life.

Good work!

Hi, Gina. After a long time, I came back to your story.

It's very sad to read through the protagonist's half life. I guess she had been happy until the marriage. Marriage changes life for everyone. Marriage brings both happiness and torture, which, I say the golden rule as two persons get together having different background each other.

You set HP fandom, especially choosing the situation as being Pureblood and her husband as a Death Eater. It's an interesting concept and I feel you try to explain what the war has had influenced human-beings in the term of marriage, the relationship between a husband and a wife. Besides, you embedded the theme infertility, which gave the depth to this story. I found your story full of joy and sadness, that's life. I think it's your writing style and readers are attracted to it. 70 % painful experiences brought by marriage and the rest, happiness produced by marriage. I felt that way while reading your story.
