This was another great chapter! It is quite refreshing to see an average teenage girl who is awkward and uncomfortable about their looks. It seems much more believable to me, though I did find the ‘make-over' she was subjected to really funny, especially the half and half make up! Also, I wanted to shake the lot of them and tell them they shouldn't do all this for a guy's attention...and anyway, two of them already fancy her.

Instead of tepid water the spell should have produced, boiling hot water scalded her face as she swore loudly. - Dollie clearly isn't having the best start to the day, is she? 

Remus is a sweetheart here, almost helping Sirius get together with Dollie despite the fact it's breaking his heart. I really don't know what to think about Dollie now, though to be fair she doesn't actually know that Remus fancies her, but she's being a bit mean because she knows Sirius DOES. Oh dear.

I'm back for Magical Menagerie and RvG January - Team Red!

Oh my days so Remus DOES like Dollie, I feel so bad for the both of them, especially because now Sirius likes her too. Also, I can see poor Sirius's heart getting broken as well here. Dollie telling the girls she will date Sirius to make Remus jealous is not going to go down well, especially since they're best mates. Does she not know about the Code of not dating best mates' ex-girlfriends?! I can just imagine the fall out from all this. I feel awful for Remus thinking he's not good enough for anyone, which is just like he is in canon of course, but that makes me feel so sad for him. This whole thing is not going to end well is it?!

 

Also, James sleeps with a toy broomstick...called Zoom-Zoom. I honestly thought Sirius was just joking, but no. I was cackling about that for ages! Poor James if that gets out, eh! (is it wrong that I really hope it does?!)  I'm loving this so far so I'm off to read the next chapter to find out how all this is going to unfold.

Hi! Tasha here for the Magical Menagerie and also for RvG January - Team Red!

Truth time. I kind of remember this story from back in the HPFF days, because your summary is so striking. However, I just clicked on chapter one and I don't remember any of it, so I've no idea if I ever even got around to reading it. So going into this with fresh eyes.

First thing - I LOVE the name Dollie! I feel a little sorry for her that she thinks she's no one compared to her friends and she sent her prefect badge back because she doesn't feel good enough AND because she was worried she'd make a fool of herself in front of Remus. How awful. And I wanted to give her a hug when "her heart sank" when he talked to her. That's so unusual - and refreshing - for a character to feel like that when the guy they fancy talks to them. There's usually a lot of giggling. 

Also, if the Marauders really are full of hot air and ego, Dollie dismissing Sirius's help is brilliant. High five for Dollie! Also, although she doesn't rate herself at all, she's really sassy. I love a great sassy character so I'm looking forward to learning more about her when I stop by the rest of this story!

Great start, I'm already hooked! xx
