Story:Tom. Chapter: Ginevra.

Look I'm a huge sucker for any Tom fic so you snagged me immediately, but THIS? THIS? You come into my home. You write this amazing one shot. How am I supposed to continue reading other fic? HOW?!

The tension was so palpable I swear that I had second hand anxiety from it.

You've captured Tom so brilliantly too. He's charming and manipulative and everything I've ever wanted out of a Tom even though in reality there's very little from him in this story. Their dynamic makes the story so believable and I can feel her being torn in both directions. Knowing that he's bad news and that she should get rid of the diary (or at the very least shut it), but he's so understanding and enchanting and how could she?

I feel like you did an excellent job sampling her mindset during this time and humanizing her. I loved it!

Story:Tom. Chapter: Ginevra.

Wow. This fic ensnared me right from the beginning and wouldn’t let go of my attention. All of it is so artful, so all-consuming—so perfect for a fic titled “Tom”. I literally could not take my eyes away from the screen, and could feel my heart beating a little faster. Evoking that sort of a reaction is incredibly difficult to do, and I’m seriously impressed.

Also, I’m amazed by the level of thought you put into this. The second person perspective is absolutely perfect. It felt invasive to some degree, but also I think that feeling is rather appropriate, given that Ginny’s mind and heart were basically invaded by Tom. It also heightened all of her emotions, hence my heart beating faster. I loved the montage of images that flashed across her eyes, and the second contrasting montage. When I first read Chamber of Secrets, I didn’t understand why Ginny didn’t close the diary and throw it away—what was so alluring about it that she was blinded by the dark truth of the trap she’d fallen into? This fic revealed the attraction it held for her, and really made it seem honestly rather rational. I sympathize for Ginny so much.

As a final note, I can’t not compliment you on this: your prose here is so so lovely. Effortless, fluent—I was very engaged throughout the entire reading. Incredibly well done! <3
