Hi,

So I thought this chapter was so powerful. It's really difficult to support any cheating and I don't but I do like the pairing that you've created here. The chapter is so intense with the romantic imagery is wonderful. I thought Hermione's inner monologue worked really strong, you can follow her thought process with her feelings for George and I can see clearly how those feelings are developed.

It makes sense but I can't say that I understand how she copes when her daughter is at home with Ron. that's some heartbreaking imagery - it's a crushing truth and it contrasts so perfectly with all this romantic feelings so you remember what is really happening there. I think it's interesting that you had Mrs Weasley keeping an eye of the two of them, I quite like she has noticed something like mothers know their children inside and out. it's very telling. I can only imagine her reaction if she knew the whole truth.

Your writing is wonderful and powerful. I'm really interested to see what direction this story is going to take because there is a lot of scope for exploration with both characters and the pregnancy bombshell!

Hey!

So, I do love the Hermione/George ship -- but it's come at such a drastic cost. Both their desperation seems to be pouring into each other and it's sweet and heartbreaking. They both have so much to lose and yet, in each moment, they feel like they're truly alive with each other. It presents a severe moral quandary that must make everything feel impossible when either of them tries to make sense of it logically. Hermione has her husband and toddler to think about, and George his wife and unborn baby.

So, in a way, it makes sense that she would decide to leave in the end, when she finds out she's pregnant with no possible way for it to be Ron's. In some sense, it feels like she's running away from everyone and everything. In another, it feels like she's abandoning them. In yet another, it feels like she's freeing them from being a part of her unfaithfulness.

I really enjoyed the way you played heavily on emotion in this, especially while skirting around the love scene (or what would be their final love scene), because while the physical actions were there, the whole affair was truly about emotion and feeling. They wanted to love and laugh -- to feel alive again, and I think you did an excellent job at selling that point.

I wonder what will become of Hermione and her baby. Does she leave and not return ever again? Will George and Hermione meet later in life, giving George an opportunity to be a father to his child? Will Ron and Angelina ever forgive their spouses? What about Hermione's already living child? The ending leaves an extreme sadness and a lot of question hanging in the air.

Great job!

Hi Karni! Here for your requested review. :)

So I’m going to be honest and say that I’m not usually fond of stories with cheating. I can get behind pretty much any ship, but the second that the two characters get together through some form of cheating, I immediately kind of…un-ship them.

That being said, I do think that the Hermione and George that you’ve created here suit each other. They obviously find each other very physically attractive, and based on what you’ve told the readers, they also appear to talk to each other as any couple should. It’s just a shame that they’re both, you know, married. At least they know they’re wrong? I feel like that’s always a good thing, even if they do keep seeing each other despite their guilt lol. The mentions of their children made me feel really sad tbh – what with Rose being one of my favorite Next Gen characters and all. It makes me sad that her mom keeps abandoning her to see George.

I feel like characterization-wise, I don’t really recognize Hermione and George as the characters from the books, but honestly I don’t mind that. Mostly it stems from the fact that I can’t see Hermione ever cheating.

The pregnancy twist at the end was quite surprising. I’m curious to see how this story goes!
