So I just spent today reading, reviewing, and judging all my entries for the Love, ______ Challenge, and I've never been happier to just sit back and enjoy your stories in my life. Every single one of them gave me so many feelings, and I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who entered. Reading all these beautiful, or happy-ending, or creative (or all three!) stories about queer couples made me happier than you can imagine. ?
A quick reminder about the prizes! (I'm going to be leav
Since pretty much birth, I have loved Disney movies. I spent my childhood watching the old animated classics, falling in love with the songs, and automatically befriending anyone who also adored the iconic princesses. (I still do! Mulan is my favorite princess, if you would like to bond over the greatness of the original movie.) I have a certain sentimentality regarding Disney movies, and so in recent years, it's been a little difficult coming to terms with the ceaseless, ever-growing mountain o
In my (very biased) opinion, Chinese is one of the coolest languages. Today I'm going to go on a very long ramble of different parts of the Chinese written language that I think are very, very interesting. It might appear to be really strange to English speakers, especially since Chinese is, grammatically, very simple. In some ways, this makes it more difficult for me to grasp it fully, because I always try to force English grammar into Chinese phrases, which turns out sounding strange and wonky
Last week, I judged all the entries for the Epistolary Challenge, and I was floored by how many wonderful people submitted stories for this challenge! You guys took the challenge above and beyond, and there was not a single story that wasn't compelling and unique. (In other words, I had the time of my life reading and reviewing these, and I want to thank all of you for submitting entries for my challenge! ) I wanted to take the opportunity here to write little blurbs about each of my entries be
I am an avid consumer of makeup tutorials, but I treat them as I do Binging with Babish's videos (which feature inordinately complex home-made dishes inspired by film and TV): they're purely for entertainment, and not particularly useful in my day-to-day life.
The thing is, I don't usually wear makeup (though this is largely due to laziness more than anything else, as I enjoy it a lot when my friends sit me down and slap their fancy products on my face). I do, though, distinctly recall a ph
I am not one for audiobooks. As someone whose brain regularly wanders, it's generally really difficult for me to focus on the story that I'm listening to, and so I usually lose track of the characters, the plot, the sequence of events, everything. And so I've been nervous about completing this task, because of my general inability to focus on oral stories, but that didn't happen! I was captivated from beginning to end. Which is a great way to get introduced to the podfics on HPFT!

DECEASED: CLEMENTINE LI FOUND PROSTRATE IN HIGH SCHOOL QUAD
By Hildegard Kaur
[Op-Ed]
The Stonewall Gazette is pleased to announce the death of one of our very own students, Clementine Li. Some of you may know her as the grumpy old grandmotherly witch who fattens up the freshmen with fresh-baked muffins. More likely, though, is that more of you recognize her as the bag of laziness who spends all her school hours sprawled ungracefully across the senior lounge couch. (Clearly, the prostra
