I'm a little bit late, but I'll join too. Last year my goal was to read the 25 unread books I had in my apartment. I ended up finishing 7, so my goal this year will be to read the 18 books in my apartment that I still haven't read :P

I'm sure I'm missing some books because I didn't start this list earlier, but uhhh ah well!! I'll arbitrarily pick 30 books as my goal? This is mostly just because goodreads leaves a bad taste in my mouth these days but I want to keep a list somewhere. :P

READ:

  1. One of Us is Lying -- Karen McManus [fun, gripping, maybe a bit slow to start]
  2. The Year We Hid Away -- Sarina Bowen [a fun nonsense aeroplane read]
  3. Deadly Feasts -- Richard Rhodes [a terrifying but highly enjoyable popular science book about TSEs from 1997]
  4. The Understatement of the Year -- Sarina Bowen [another fun nonsense aeroplane read but this time it's gay]

DID NOT FINISH:

  1. The Year We Fell Down -- Sarina Bowen

#1 - #54. Animorphs by K. A. Applegate

I listen to a Tortall podcast, and one of the hosts dearly loves Animorphs. Recently, they did a bonus episode on the first few Animorphs books, with plenty of spoilers, and omg. I totally didn't expect that level of intensity from a middle grade series! My primary school library had quite a few, and boy am I glad I never read them. My 10- to 12-year-old mind would not have been able to handle it, I think :P

Ineke

My mission this year is to read more than the 8 books I read last year (including re-reads).

So far I am failing miserably but this is the book I finished the other day (and it's not a reread go me)

1. A Good Girl's Guide To Murder - Holly Jackson
