Oh no. Poor Finn!!! Here’s Teddy, using Freya as a distraction for all the hurt that Victoire caused, on a date that neither of them are particularly enjoying, and then there’s Finn, who genuinely loves Freya with everything he has. It just feels so monumentally awful of Teddy to be doing this sort of thing right now—especially since he’s seen Finn’s past expressions towards Freya. Everything about this date is rather inauspicious, and I really, really want this one to get sorted over as soon as possible.

 

But I wonder: what does Freya want? I don’t know if she and I just have different dating cultures, but it feels uncomfortable that she was planning on going on dates with both Finn and Teddy and then selecting which one she wanted that way. Though perhaps that’s unfair to her, since I know many people go on numerous dates to find someone they’re compatible with. It just feels a little stranger I think because the three of them are all very close friends, and she’s being a little too indecisive about the whole thing. It’s really hard to blame her, though, because Teddy was SO aggressive when he asked her on this date, haha.

 

TEDDY GOING THROUGH A ROUGH PATCH IS SO PAINFUL. He’s just grumpy and upset and overall not a pleasant person, which is entirely fair! But also makes reading about it extremely sad. I was actually quite pleased that he had lightened up a bit by the end of the chapter, after his kiss with Freya, BUT THEN FINN SHOWS UP GRR.

 

Everything is a mess right now hahahaha. I am distraught! I just want all my babies back in a happy place!

 

I’m so looking forward to reading the second half of this story. <3
