The volume of information flowing through this chapter fit really well with the cacaphony of platform 9 3/4s.  I guess it wss a little suprising that none of the kids was confused or openly apprehensive, but we didn't see anyone who wasnt't from a magical family so that could explain it.  Anyway, looks like a jump into the deep end with the parenthetical alter-ego of your narrator providing the "little do they know" element will keep things moving along.  Good start.
