A cheesemaker, how strange! How original! How enjoyable. I actually liked the part with 'designer' cheeses and how he was questioning the whole thing. I'm glad he stuck with it and figured he would because she knew Remus. I wish there would have been more to the story. It would have been humorous to read about his cheese making skills and the entire process. Plus, I liked Gerta/Greta as a character. You could do so much with her!

Author's Response:

Thanks Deeds! It was a cute idea so when Alo offered it to me I grabbed it with both hands. The opportunity to use Greta as a connection to Remus (as she is a canon character who was born in the same year as he was) was too good to let go. Though, I don't think I could go further into the cheesemaking business - I'd have to figure out how they did it first! :) Thanks for the review, I really appreciate it.

cheers Mel

Oh boy, I'm jelly. I have melted. This was beautiful. I've never read a story focused on Alicia or Katie, they're usually background characters but I can totally see them together. Their dynamic was wonderful. I like that at first you don't really think the two of them are going to get together. I just thought she was trying to be a good friend but then when she set her up with Daphne I kind of felt this unsaid attraction between them. Her interests were piqued but more than normal. I felt it was very believable that it took awhile, a number of bad dates, so-so dates, etc. to finally reach that one. Hey, dating sucks. Sometimes you meet someone amazing and other times you meet Lucifer. I'm glad she met someone amazing, someone that was there all along.

Author's Response:

Awwwww yay!! Always great to melt readers!

I am a huge sucker for background characters, and even more so for putting them in queer relationships!

I am really glad that you enjoyed their dynamic, and I really appreciate how you liked watching their connection grown, from not thinking they'd get together, to a growing attraction, to fitting together so well. It's always fun to read feedback on this one!

Again, thank you so much for all your lovely reviews!

AW!

This warmed my heart. I adore Dobby. This actually brought some tears to my eyes. I figured he'd end up at Hogwarts in the end but getting there was so much better! To have Dumbledore come and offer him the position. He must've known Dobby was lonely. Oh and then to have dinner with him and talk about knitting patterns. That's just so sweet. Dobby is quite the host. I think I would have enjoyed his duck too. I loved when he was bartering with Dumbledore. A very Dobby thing to do. I can't get over how lovely this story was.

I just woke up but now I want to go back into bed and sleep. I'd like some quality snuggle time! With Neville, without Neville, with any man really. I liked this! I thought it was short and sweet. I liked seeing a small snippet into Hannah and Neville's routine. The gums part made me chuckle because after all these years I still complain about the same thing. I'm not exactly a routine flosser and hate the way it feels. Urgh.

Author's Response:

Hey Deeds!

Snuggle time is the best! Ugh, Flossing is the worst!

"'Bumpkin Jews as Hostages?

That was hilarious. Pure comedic genius. I loved the portrait and her hard of hearing. Every line she came up with was funnier than the next. What a great listener she is! I loved that she spoke to someone that wasn't her friends or a teacher or family. I thought this was a completely different and neat concept. A portrait? Why there are so many at Hogwarts. I bet that all have something to say (well I know they all have something to say even if it is gibberish). And what kind of person puts dead butterflies underneath someones bed? Not cool!

AW!

I FEEL SO WARM AND FUZZY!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS. I'm a sucker for cute little puppies but I'm afraid of big dogs. Okay, I love all puppies but I'm afraid when they all become dogs, even little ones. The barking terrifies me and I had a small dog. Ha-ha. This was adorable though. I liked that we got a sweet shot into Harry's life as a Dad. That anxious feeling when Christmas comes because what are you supposed to buy everyone, especially when there are so many of them? And let's not get started on the teenagers. Yuck. But the puppy was perfect!! The name made me laugh. I should have seen it coming but I honestly did not. I was too wrapped up in your writing.

So cute!

I wish I would have read this on Valentine's Day. I was being a bitter Betty that day though. I probably would have sulked and been like Lily, grossed out by their love.
Sue me, it's hard day!
I liked how the story started out. I like that you gave us some back story into the Rose and Scorpius relationship and that it wasn't Scorpius pining after her. I liked that she had a sense of vulnerability. What I loved was her argument.
Voldemort would have won if he was a woman.
Haha men would be gay, that's hilarious. There'd be no men if it wasn't for us that's for sure.
And yes as a woman I am allowed to change my mind! Thank you!!!!
I was surprised it was Lily that sent it. I hadn't expected that and just thought she was being bitter herself because most girls aren't a fan of. Valentine's Day.

Author's Response:

This was my first attempt at Next Gen so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lily was a surprise to me too, but I figured it fit because these kids would grow up close. The argument was fun to write and Rose has the right mix of intellect and temper to pull it off.

Thanks for reading and reviewing.

He led an underground rebellion. He basically spat in Voldemort’s face. But for Neville Longbottom, some things still don’t come easy – namely, talking to the girl he fancies.

Bow down to you!

Ah! I loved this. I have such a soft spot of Hannah and Neville. This was romantic but it wasn't overly fluffy. I still snorted when he finally remembered the advice Ginny gave him.
I'd love to say men try so hard and are silly but I'm just as awkward. If anything Neville here reminded me of my ex-boyfriend. Who coincidentally was told to take the same advice from his friends but just kept being awkward. Haha!
I liked the progression of the story. It didn't happen in one fell swoop. Also, my favorite line was 'There he is again.'
It was endearing. It revealed the history in the relationship and I could seriously see if being their thing.
Seriously, great story! Nice job!

Author's Response:

Deeds!

I was so excited to see you back! Thanks for taking the time to review this little one-shot of mine!

Hannah/Neville is one of those ships for me that I just love because they seem like that couple of once-awkward, less confident people who are still a little awkward and still have their little insecurities, but are just perfect together. I don't have quite the passion for them that I do for some other ships, but they're definitely in my top three (3) and I really enjoyed writing them for the first time! True to form, Neville is a dude, and like any dude, we can be absolute dolts when it comes to girls we're into. I'm really glad you liked the repeated line though too, as it was definitely something I wanted to have as a recurring part of the story as an idea that it would become a recurring part of their relationship when Neville's doubting himself and then realizes he can do this. And also when Hannah thinks he's being adorably dorkish, but yeah. :P

Thanks so much for the review!

Hello! I stumbled upon this searching for some stories. Trying to spread the love! :D I haven't read one of your stories in ages. The writing felt super familiar, which was very nice. I thought this was short but sweet. I didn't think her parents were going to react out of the ordinary but I completely get it. You can tell your friends, cousins, whoever anything that happens to you easily but when it comes to your parent, even if it's a good thing, it's still hard. It's also a little embarrassing sometimes. I mean if Fleur was my mother and asked me for intimate details I'd be blushing.

I had fancied myself a strong woman, a fierce woman, an unbreakable woman. However, it seemed that all it took to take me from a powerful Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, an unsinkable mother of three, a girl who had survived the war to become a woman, to a whimpering, crying puddle of tears was a diagnosis. Two tiny words, just 11 letters, 12 characters. Velox Mortem. The swift death.

OOO! I clicked the story because of the summary, completely sucked me in! I'm glad it did. This is rather intriguing. I liked how the chapter opened. There she is, ready to start one of the biggest games of her life, the crowd is cheering and she's just jealous at first. She wants the attention on her, which is completely understandable. Honestly how anyone could date Harry, well, they deserve a gold star. But here's Ginny ready to begin and then wham. It's over. I was frustrated but I appreciated the response by the Auror department. For the sole fact that they shouldn't have the answer to everything. I like when they're wrong about things. I have authority issues. Not big issues but still. So to have her know that no this is something else, something bigger, just makes the anticipation for the next chapter that much greater.

Interesting, very interesting. These are honestly characters I never read about so I was intrigued when I clicked on the story. I would have liked a little bit more input into their relationship. I understand the point of the story was to really focus on telling the parents though. I liked Roger! He seemed to have a good head on his shoulders. Didn't love her parents but I think that's a good thing. Their reaction was believable because who wants their teenage daughter to get married so young when she doesn't need to? Right? God, I'm older than her and I think my mother would actually react the same way.

Author's Response:

Marietta was the prompt from the challenge this story was written for, and I really liked the idea of her marrying someone who she was at Hogwarts with...so hence the pairing. I think I also could have depicted a bit more of their relationship, but I also wanted give the impression that Roger was the more sensible one. I've never been good at cramming lots of stuff into a short one-shot :P

But I'm glad the reaction was believable, because that was one of the things about this story I was worried about. Thanks for reading :)

For the love of...I don't even know what I just read right now but it was hilarious. I think I was more shocked than anything so I didn't actually laugh out loud but i had this really creepy smile on my face the entire time i read the story. First off, Dancing with the Stars is my favorite show--no shame--so to have Draco watching it just made me really happy. I loved the parrot, the toaster bit, not putting Draco in the corner, the yurt. Gah! Everything just flowed together really well and kept me intrigued until the end. It was just pure fun reading this.

Author's Response:

I think that's the reaction most people have to this bizarre parody story, haha.  And yes, whatever other faults Draco may have, at least he has good taste in television? :P I'm so glad you enjoyed the story, weird toaster pirate plot and all. Thanks so much for reviewing ♥♥

This was so sad! I teared up as I got to the middle. Embarrassing to have tears in your eyes at the train station. I don't ever read about his death because I can't handle it. I thought this was a nice, well written story that was sad but sweet. I also liked the girls friendship here. You need your friends to get through something so tough.
