This is really sweet! I love the idea of Charlie being afraid of thunderstorms, and Bill there to comfort him. When we're young, even if you're brave, anything can feel big and scary. It's cute to imagine Charlie this way once upon a time, before he started taming dragons! I also really like the way he wishes to be brave, as a hopeful future Gryffindor. Your opening sentence was really well written and put us immediately into the scene and the vibe of Charlie's state of mind. And the exchange about Bill being brave all the time is really lovely, the fact that Bill is honest with him that he's not always brave either, and that you don't have to be to be a Gryffindor either. It's just a very sweet moment between brothers, and I really enjoyed it.

RARE PAIRS FOR THE WIIIIIN.

You just love writing pairings I've never considered in the million years I've been in this fandom, don't you? xD

Okay, but honestly. I don't know if a Draco/Weasley pairing would work since the Weasleys hate the Malfoys as much as the Malfoys hate the Weasleys, but if there would be someone Draco could get along with, it would definitely be Charlie. Maaaaaybe Ginny. But I think Charlie is the most likely. And now I kind of want to read a longer story about these two. I'll have to scour the internet at some point and see if it exists. xD

Anyway: good job with showing such a cute moment between characters I never even thought of interacting. Draco would totally be obsessed with dragons growing up. Of course he would. You know how some kids have a dinosaur stage? Draco would have a dragon stage. I'm here for it. *applause*

Good job with another drabble!

Awww, this one was really sweet! I have such strong 'Puff pride, so I'm so happy to read an alternate-sorting story where someone ends up a 'Puff. (We don't get nearly enough credit; let's be honest!)

I loved how you wrote Charlie's nervousness on the train. Bill was nice to help calm him down when he was feeling overwhelmed. And I'm glad he met Tonks in the boats. She's A Lot, haha, but I think he'd be used to that being from such a big family. I was surprised she was enough of an influence on him to make him be okay with Hufflepuff, though. I thought the Hat would have to talk him into it.

I like the end of this drabble, with Molly and Arthur's letter. I think it's good for them to admit when they were putting too much pressure on an eleven year old. After all, it's quite silly that the Hat has to sort people by their personalities when they're eleven. (I think Dumbledore makes that point in the books, and...yeah.)

Overall, another cute drabble! Great job!

Best,
Emily

PRECIOUS.

Okay, so I definitely love this ship. Hermione is somehow a character that you can ship with any of the Weasleys, but I'm pretty partial to Hermione/Charlie, Hermione/Fred, and occasionally Hermione/Percy. I've read a couple of good Hermione/Ginny fics too.

Okay, but this story is really sweet! I love the idea of Hermione and Charlie just having a quiet afternoon in the fall. Fall weather is my favorite, even though I agree with Charlie that Halloween isn't my favorite holiday. It's okay, but I'm more of a Christmas person myself.

I also think Charlie would be one of the best of the Weasleys at adapting to the Muggle world. For some reason he has more of a down-to-earth/go-with-the-flow vibe.

Either way, this was super cute. Well done!

This one had a very different feel from the first drabbles in this collection, but not in a bad way.

It's interesting to see Charlie at Hogwarts. As an adult, he definitely has the chaotic rule-breaker energy of Fred and George, but we do know he was a prefect at school, so he had to have at least learned how to break rules subtly. Like, for example, sneaking around the castle at night, haha.

I love that the only motivation he has for leaving his dorm is that he woke up and felt compelled to. But it's lucky he ran into Tonks, now isn't it? ;)  I love their friendship! They seem like two people who would have a lot in common. And you wrote the moment of their kiss really well. It was a great Broom Closet Trope scene, and I grinned.

Bill's very nice not to tell Molly about this. Can you imagine? xD

Good job again!!

RARE PAIRS ARE LIFE. :D

Honestly, I'm such a sucker for under-represented pairings, and this one I've literally never heard of, so I'm thrilled right now.

I really like your characterization of Charlie in this drabble. I think he probably does have a shyer side—I mean, the man hides away with dragons most of his life—and I like that you explored that here. It's sweet that he has a crush on Neville, who's also a bit shy. I'd absolutely read more stories about them as you've written them here!

I like that Neville is the one who's bold and goes in for the kiss while Charlie is still stumbling over his words. xD  Neville might be timid sometimes, but he's a true Gryffindor when it counts! (Same goes for Charlie, matter of fact.)

Really good job with this! You wrote a really sweet scene for a very rare pair.

Too precious for words.

I'm excited to come and review some of your drabbles! I've made it my goal to review at least one story by every Hufflepuff, and I've never left you one! :O  So here I am!

This is a really sweet moment between Bill and Charlie. I love authors who can write about kids—I certainly can't—and you did this so well. We only see these characters when they're already adults, and even then, we don't see much of them as the two oldest Weasley kids. But it would make sense if they were really close as kids and if they helped bolster each other.

I shared a room with my little sister when we were kids, and at night we always talked each other through things if we were having a hard time. There's something about talking in the dark that makes it easier, I think.

Lovely first drabble! I'm excited to read on!

Best,
Emily
