Meet the Staff

The people behind HPFT — archive validators, prefects, and community leaders who keep the forums and archive running smoothly.

Behind every thriving fandom community is a group of quiet, dedicated people working in the background, and HPFT is no exception. The staff team is composed entirely of volunteers who give their time because they love the archive, the forums, and the conversations that happen between writers and readers. Whether they are welcoming new members, guiding authors through the posting process, or helping settle questions about the terms of service, these volunteers keep the community running smoothly so that the focus can stay on what matters most: the stories, the feedback, and the shared love of the written word.

The archive validators serve as the first line of support for anyone navigating the rules and guidelines of the site. They review incoming story submissions, ensure that content meets the standards set by the community, and answer questions about everything from formatting to the finer points of the terms of service. Their work is meticulous and often unseen, but it is what allows the archive to remain a welcoming, safe, and well-organized space where authors of all experience levels can share their work and grow as writers.

Prefects round out the team by focusing on the social and house-based side of the community. They help organize events, run challenges, and encourage participation in the house cup and other activities that bring members together. From cheering on fellow writers during a challenge to offering a friendly word in the forums, prefects are often the most visible faces of the staff team. Together with the validators, they form a support network that keeps HPFT feeling like a home for fans of Harry Potter and original fiction alike.
